I dont like.

i felt that Mildred understood what Iris felt pretty well and tbh she handled it as well as she could
and in one chp she even spoke about how unfair it is to the other children at the ball who dont stand out as much as someone pretty as ashley
its more like she knows whats coming and shes trying to prepare for it and profit from it so that she can ensure her kids have a good life too

I actually don't thnk that's it. It was kinda unsatisfying because Mildred only talked to her about how she wants Ashley to receive motherly love and equal treatment because she couldn't have it since her biological mother died. She didn't really get Iris' feelings and only explained her reason for treating Ashley with affection. So it wasn't pointed out that Iris was jealous and wants Mildred to pay attention to them too- Because so far, in the comic, Mildred is really prioritizing ashley a lot which caused Iris to long for her

its been a while since ive read it and my memory sucks so what im saying now might not be accurate but from what i remember what mildred was saying makes sense. Shes stuck in a situation she cant win because even if she is paying more attention to ashley it is to make her feel welcome in a family that isnt her own especially because before she transmigrated the original mildred mustve abused her if were following the original cinderella story but iris was used to having her mothers complete attention so it makes sense why she is feeling like but what could mildred do in this situation? Ignore ashley? or tell iris that she loves her more? Mildred is honestly trying to treat ashley as her own kid when technically none of the three children are actually hers. She didnt give birth to any yet shes trying to raise them all to the best of her ability
Or maybe im just reading too much into tis and im just biased towards her coz i love a queen but thats how i feel
