That sounds like a smart plan but let’s face it. The FL was once a farmer girl and regained the intelligence of a 15-16 abused sheltered girl. I don’t think she would have the capability to plan that or even execute it.
True she is quite uneducated that she didn't even think of that.
If i was the fl I would have asked the magnolia head to keep all the letters and the locket safe. Then get the magnolia to have a reliable assassin to assassinate the step mother and step sister by kidnapping or accidents.
