I think he was saying “ahjussi” which is what younger people in Korea call men older than them. It can be directly translated as Grandpa but yeah I agree it was weird, it could’ve also been translated to Mister or Sir or just the original word “Ahjussi” would have worked too but they are not fluent in Korean so it’s not their fault.
still , they should know basic grammar and understanding how the story goes because you can clearly see even before this sentence he is not related to him ...
like why would the protagonist call director “grandpa” that’s so weird ????
