Have to say I just can't picture Horus and Seth as a couple. Seth doesn't show the slightest interest in Horus. The age gap is like crazy, Horus is obsessed with Seth and I just can imagine the power imbalance with Horus being the complete pushover but that's "ok" because he will be the sEmE in bed...
Doesn't look really appealing at least to me.

You're not wrong because this is how it is like, *right now*, but I'm curious if you've read the raws? ...Particularly the part about what makes a god become weak, (and in the opposite direction, what makes them strong) and what is stunting both Horus' and Anubis' actual "growth" as gods (which is aside from their actual ages). Because, the reason Horus' "growth" was stunted is among the things you mention, and I think that a key point of this how Horus will manage to overcome that in order to become a god, with that and Seth's new "status" at the end of season 1 making it possible for him and Seth to "meet each other halfway".

In other words, that I'm also waiting to see how the author will deal with all the issues you've mentioned. I'm saying "how" rather than "if" because I have a feeling this author's a lot smarter than most.

I am super curious about how the author will handle everything! I feel like with the way things ended at the end of season one, more angst is to come.
(spoiler: well, it wouldn't make sense for an author to put a character into a vulnerable state without exploiting the vulnerability, otherwise the new weakness would be superfluous to the plot. and at then end, Set was the weakest he's ever been, hence I predict angst)
As far as romance goes, I think it's best to let it be. the author has actually apologized before for the story being such a slow burn, and I don't think Mojito should feel pressured to speed it up. if the author has a good idea of how the relationships will go, i trust that.
as far as Horus ascending to godly status....hmmmm....that's really, really interesting.
