Apparently, he went on rampage, like crazy. The emperor had a ring made to control him but when he heard about his daughter death, HE LOST IT.
He killed everybody on his way, the ring was completely useless. A carnage. He ended the emperor then gazed on the crown and said that without his daughter, even the throne wasn't worth it.
