I didn’t mean to upvote on this. There’s bl with consent. I personally had been enjoying the first couple and was somewhat interested in the second one, but this chapter definitely caused me to lose interest in Martin’s character. It’s really unfortunate to see the people justifying how things played out in the comments.
I don’t see how some of us feeling uncomfortable with how this played out makes us weird... He had consented in the beginning, but later the parts of him saying no and stop and that being ignore this what had people feeling the way we do. I wouldn’t say he’s one of the gentle semes (but there are characters that are worse for sure).
To clarify I meant to write “he’s not one of the most”.
Also I was frustrated with some of the comments saying things that bothered me much more than your post (the types of things people say when victim blaming actual people) when I had accidentally upvoted your comment. I was just trying to scroll past, but went back and read your comment and my frustrations with the things I had been seeing boiled over. So I’m sorry for taking that out on you.
I had went back over the chapter and I want to correct my misquote in my earlier comment. He had thought “no”, but didn’t say “stop” like I said. Andy had said to be “more gentle” and Martin said “I don’t wanna”. I feel a bit differently after the re-read of chapter 38 and wanted to clarify that. Sorry for this long winded reply.
this is just how bl is, if you don’t like it don’t read it, he said many times he wanted more...
also the side couples my favorite lowkey
