Yes, that recessive alpha assumption thing was bad. And it happened mostly when hyesung was a teen (i guess) so the dad really treated him badly at that time.

All those side stories about his father and his mother were from hyesung’s POV, pov of a child who’s hurt because he’s lonely, in need of some parental love. The feelings he had might fabricated the reality, for all we know. I look forward to see his dad’s pov. There’s no way in hell he didn’t love hyesung at all, even a tiny but because we saw how he treat his new kids and how he taught them to speak nicely to strangers. And people don’t change that easily.
