Hanako isn't 226+, in chapter 38 he's an elementary schooler (ages 6-12) in 1964, assuming the story takes place modern day (like when it was written) that time should be a bit more than 50 years int the past.
Thus around the time hanako died.. so yea that's v sus

in chapter 38 he wasnt 12 or 6 he was 226 because yashiro was just accidentally pushed into the past (i dont remember how she got there but yeah lol) and after she was pushed, amane helped her up it was just the passed. Amane was still a apparition in episode 38.
Is it only me or does he look like hanako? The kid i mean- 50 years ago a suicide but hanako is 226 years old- hmm perhaps its the curse of the house but why only hanako? And not mitsuba as well? Very interesting
