These theories are absolutely perfect and I think you’re right on the money... but the thing with Hwan being a university student isn’t that deep, he might be getting a masters or is in academia or something. Anyway, I hope my precious Jin is endgame. Personally I think evil, yandere Hwan is much more interesting and his character is probably one of the greatest plot twists I’ve seen in yaoi
The only thing here that’s not true is Hwan raping Chiwoo. I just went back to that chapter and he never actually penetrated him, it’s just nasty sexual assault

I love Jin too and if he has to literally fight a demon king to win Chiwon i feel like it'll be one of the best plot twists i've seen in a love triangle yaoi.
sexual assault vs rape doesn't really matter IMO because he violated his "friend" while he was sleeping but Hwan does penetrate him. It's only for a bit but it happens. Go back to chapter 11 page 3 and scroll down after the flash back. Hwan has his pants off, holding Chiwoo's legs to the side and thrusts into him. there's even a little "squelch squelch" panel, then he pulls out and jerks them both off. so he rapes and assaults him

I never said that sexual assault was any better, but you’re spreading false information. I’ve already went back and saw it. He puts it in between Chiwoo’s thighs, there absolutely no penetration.
And if Hwan actually did penetrate Chiwoo,which he didn’t, he would’ve definitely woken up from the pain bc that would’ve been his first time. Sexual assault is just as bad as rape, absolutely, but you can’t go around saying he was raped when that never happened.
So I've seen a few comments about how suspect Hwan (black haired guys) is and I totally agree. Just got done reading all the way through after reading the comments and I think he's the demon king. the story is tagged with "demon king" on lezhin BTW so we know someone is.
1. first off there has to be a twist coming or this would be a very short story. Chiwoo's wish seems to have come true by chapter 30 so why would he keep fighting? unless he hasn't finished his end of the deal yet with sunny which means the big boss is about to be revealed.
2. during the flashbacks in chapter 10 we see that Hwan fell in "love" at first site and became obsessed with Chiwoo at a very young age, starving himself because Chiwoo wasn't there and he obviously replaced the loss of his father with Chiwoo. it's also not a coincidence that Chiwoo's parents die in a sudden car crash like Hwan's dad and Chiwoo is the only one spared. the new cast mentions that the bridge suddenly collapsed and that they haven't found a cause, I think this is because Hwan wished for it to happen. Something like "I wish Chiwoo would never leave me" Or "I wish Chiwoo had to live with me"
3-10. Hwan rapes Chiwoo. like not even the "dub con" we see in most yaoi's. he straight up rapes him while he's asleep in chapter 11 and admits chiwoo is his whole world. which after RAPING HIM shows he's more obsessed then in love. he also says "I hate feeling like we're growing apart" which just feels creepy and possessive after witnessing what he just did. real toxic relationship right there
11. we don't know where this darkness came from or why the demons are so sexually violent...like Hwan
12. whenever they have sex Hwan gets crazy eyes like he wants to lock Chiwoo up and never let him get away. which he probably does.
I mean there are a ton of other reasons (anyone else find it weird Hwan's 27 and still in school but we don't know what for?) but really is makes for a good story if the first love interest turns out to be bad. I also think the fact that Jin is resistant to magic, isn't human, has a sidekick similar to Sunny and is in love with Chiwoo means he's the real endgame and will probably help Chiwoo defeat this demon king. also want to mention the Korean title of this is just "Tell me your wish" so it could be a story about Chiwoo's wish and Hwan's.
