To be honest though, I agree with you, let him suffer juuuuuust a wee bit. Am I a bad person wanting to see arrogant assholes suffer for their mistakes, for a little bit?
I guess that I'm a vindictive jerk because I would have been happy to see him suffer a whoooole lot. Abject stupidity isn't really a very good excuse for acting like an SOB toward an innocent person for a period of years.
