Hunter x Hunter had Killiua as a kid assassin. Although he was 12 years old in the manga it was stated he had been killing people for a while.
I know, but I don't think Sanji's the same. I hope so. I mean, he was such a cute kid who used to cook at the Orbit. If that kid's innocence had been stolen already, then everything about Sanji will change for me :( He'll still be the awesome ero-cook, but I'd like to thing he didn't kill people on the Orbit or before.
Well, i talked about the reason of how he managed to be in east blue, but i get your point. However, i recall that, even as a big fan of him since forever, i don't know much about him. Sanji and zoro's past was only revealed briefly, enough for making us understand their reason why they act the way they were when luffy met them. All i ever know about sanji and zoro is about the same as what i know about luffy before he met ace (and later garp and sabo). Luffy's surprising past did not made luffy's character a lie or change our view about him, we just simply knew more about him, and i think that's what is happening with sanji now. I'm sure that his assassin family background will only strenghten his bond with the SH crew, just like nami and robin did.

Maybe he was sent to east blue for a mission, to kill a 'big' person, and at the same time he was expected to train himself to be strong enough for the mission... Maybe up until now he carries the mission with him while doing whatever he wants in order to get stronger, and luffy is the only reason he didn't do it (yet)...
Hmmm, no wonder he always know what to do in an emergency situation and took actions based on his own consideration... An ero assassin cook. Wow!!!
