The biggest problem of yaoi fandom is the way it normalizes and romanticizes rape and sexual assault. Looking at it almost every other popular yaoi romanticized rape/sexual assault somehow.Most people in yaoi fandom are kinda accustomed to it because how common it is and it’s honestly disgusting. I think you should try to make your friend understand why her mindset is disgusting.
