I thought he was just remembering too but why do the whole thing again? I feel like it's too long to be a flashback or him simply thinking of the past. I love the story and I've seen the anime and part of the live action but this is kinda annoying

It's following how it's told in the novel, lots of long flashbacks between chapters set in the present/future. You can't really go by the anime exactly since that changed quite a lot of the scenarios (esp in season 2).
Oh I know it's different from the anime, I actually read this before even knowing it was an anime. I'm just tired of this, its been repeating for so long, I'm ready for new content. Also why is it slightly different from how it first happened? I don't understand the point in the changes
Does anyone know why the story is repeating itself but is slightly changed?
