I've said this before, but I honestly don't hate Rashta that much, I know it's not a popular opinion, but I find her compelling and I feel sorry for her. She's clearly been dealt a shit hand at a young age and is clearly being manipulated by people around her. in a different story I think would make an interesting character, in this one she serves well as an antagonist under the real villain of this story, Sovietshu (Idk how it's spelled). I understand people people hating her, as that also seems to be her purpose, as well as the fact that it's been a while since Heinley was in a chapter and there's been more focus on intrigue and drama, it makes sense that people are frustrated.
But I'm glad you said something, the comment section was making me dread the updates for this story because of how vile some of the things people were saying, like the anonymous commenter, and it was viscerally uncomfortable and distressing to read. Anyway you're right and you should say it.
Thanks very much for your response, I was just glad that people either came back to their senses or realised that the stuff being said was inappropriate and I'm sad that it had to get to a point where people like you dreaded reading the story itself because of people in the comment section.
My reason for not liking her is because she keeps too many important secrets. I do think she's generally as innocent as she seems but it makes me frustrated since I'm not fond of weak female characters tbh. Adding to the fact that she's stupid, which couldn't be helped since she was a literal slave, I ended up hating on her too.
I'm sure the anonymous comments will come back saying such cruel things and it can't be helped either.
I think that as long as I know that other people find them crazy, I won't feel so singled out myself. I'd also feel more inclined to read knowing that those anonymous comments are the minority just talking out unjustly.
It's sad, but you're right that it can't be helped. I'll keep reading despite the vile comments because I want to see it to the end, and because it's got a gorgeous aesthetic, that actually feels like part of the world rather than a vague, historically-inaccurate pseudo-vintage European aesthetic. (Sorry I have strong feelings about fictional fashion history lol)
Low-key just wanted to say I'm glad that after my comment, people are being less aggressive and realising just how crazy they were being. I like debates and such so if you still disagree then you can straight up ask me and I'll respond. At least don't be anonymous though since it'll be like talking to a brick wall but sure if you want to. I don't even know how to anonymous reply on this site so good on you (≧∀≦)
Side note, I know I've been sounding really old but I'm actually not a 69 yr old lady or something. Not like I'll tell you my actual age lmaooo.
PS: You can find my comments a little further down or can just look for it through my profile if you can, for context.
