IT'S NOT THEIR WORK. THEY DON'T OWN IT.
MAYBE NOT, but they sure spent THEIR OWN TIME and made a lot of effort into translating it into a language that WE can understand, didn't they? I'm not in a scanlation group because I know it's time consuming, so you gotta hand it to them. The least people can do is be grateful but instead we have people bitching about them being upset their works were uploaded WHEN THEY SPECIFICALLY ASKED FOR THEM NOT TO BE BECAUSE, YOU KNOW, THEY GET EMAILED BY PUBLISHERS FOR TRANSLATING WORKS ILLEGALLY?
"YOU KNOW, THEY GET EMAILED BY PUBLISHERS FOR TRANSLATING WORKS ILLEGALLY?" You do realise you just supported @Nomane's argument, no? There is no one who is in the right here.
Easy for you to say when you are not the one who translates it. Wooow I can't imagine that there is somebody as selfish as you. IT IS YOUR PROBLEM IF YOU DON'T HAVE TIME TO CHECK THE TRANSLATORS SITE ONE BY ONE. THEY ALREADY PROVIDE YOU BASICALLY WITH EVERYTHING, YOU ONLY HAVE TO PUT EFFORT ON CHECKING THE SITE. OH MAYBE THEY SHOULD GIVE YOU THE ORIGINAL ONE? THE ONE THAT IS NOT BEING TRANSLATED, CLEANING AND ETC TO YOU? It is easier like that. Ain't it? You are the worse
Obviously. Sharing raw scans, scanlations, manga reading sites—all of these are not legal. Not saying I was right, only pointing out that these people spent their time and resources to produce something for strangers, for nothing in return, and they get told to stop complaining when their work gets shared, LIKE SERIOUSLY?
@dotdot & @Perv hit the nail on the head exactly. I recently spent Christmas day translating raws (just for fun) and one chapter took me at least an hour or two, with me having to consult dictionaries and take breaks in between sections. It can be tiring. Without scanning, cleaning & setting the type that's already a lot of work, can you imagine all of those steps together? And these people do it all for free, out of their own time and energy.
Yes, technically all of this is illegal. But are you going to tell your drug dealer he better meet you in plain sight and share the weed with everyone? No lol, one because you'd be fucking crazy, and two, they'd get busted. Maybe not the best analogy, but do try to understand the desire for keeping it on the down low. Even if you don't understand it, try to respect it--we owe them that much.
FYI, the online reader the scanlator provided is already protected. Meaning, you can't download. But someone is so desperate enough to printscreen each and uploaded here.
"Internet and people are egotistical creatures who steal the shit out of things" Yeah, probably like you, lol.
And FYI again, groups asks for donations so they can buy more books/raws or pay for their hosting site. And that's why it's DONATION. It's not an OBLIGATION but people who are willing can donate. If people don't want to donate, then fine?? It's not like they are forcing them so please stop being a know-it-all prick.
I don't understand why People who translate stuff, are upset that it got uploaded somewhere. Im not checking every god damn Translation-Group if they have an god damn Update. There are to fucking many. Im grateful for Mangasites who just show me Update of everything. You (the Groups) are still doing a "Bad Thing" for Translating Stuff, so dont try to talk your way out of things, by showing it less People than possible (idk if thats a Reason). What the Point in doing the Work then?
