i believe he only turned back because he realized cosette was the fake and because he killed the wrong one they met an apocalypse or something. i dont believe that someone that killed the person they knew as their child for years like its nothing actually liked their child.

He is worst dad ever. He just doesn't deserve it. He is the main villain. He didn't do anything when his first wife was framed just because being the head his main duty is to remain neutral. Even this time he didn't save his daughter.he is just a shit and dauchbeg in human body. He deserve to die single and lonely.

I think the Grand Duke was the person who wanted to turn back time. I think it's probably because he realized that he loves his daughter. He said that there's a pain in his heart when he dreamt himself, killing his daughter. He killed her physically, emotionally, and also mentally. He's an idiot because he allowed himself to be used by his bitch of a 'daughter'. Maybe he cannot withstand the fact that he killed his sweet daughter and he regretted it. That's why he used himself with the help of the mage to turn back time. But that cannot justify the fact the he killed his true daughter. I really really hate him and no one can change my mind.
