You're talking from mangago's perspective. There have been groups who've been contacted personally by authors to stop y'know. Mangago is still up and running somehow but its the scan groups that get targeted. Anyway good on this group for doing private releases since there's a snitch but I worked in a team before where this happened and it was scary af so don't go around saying the author cant do shit.

I’m talking to the group to help them actually. I haven’t cussed at them or been rude to them like others to translation groups on here. I respectfully share my opinion to them to hopefully help them in regards to when the official translation comes out so I’m not discouraging them at all which is why I’m quite confused to why you even replied to my comment.

Also, I’m not naive. I know the site has been posted on social media sites and even sent to the authors. Groups have been attacked and harassed and even authors have gone through to contacting group saying that they will sue them. That’s scary in itself to have someone threaten you with going to court especially because a lot of these groups are in there mid or late teens. Yes, you’re correct that a lot of the readings on this site don’t have the official translation available even if it exists. The problem is the manga/manwha that are popular like Dear Door where people keep posting and exposing to the authors are putting this whole site at risk. Do you think that mangago will be able to continue to dodge forever? I mean it only takes one author to sue managago that has the upmost ability and resources to do so and all of it’s gone.

Also, I’m coming from the perspective of the author, not someone who doesn’t give a crap and just wants to read the chapters without thinking about the possible consequences for the group and the author. If this continues where groups are uploading over official translation, there will be a problem. You say there’s a redirecting system. Yes, I’ve experienced it before. However, there are ways to get around it. In our day and age with technology, I don’t find it hard for a way to be discovered. Even if they didn’t find away around the redirecting system, if an author made an account, acquired clear evidence of their work basically being stolen, seeing the dates of when their uploaded (if the team didn’t wait for the author to get money for the chapters before uploading), acquire the names of teams, and sued them, that could be enough. From what I’m getting from you is that you would be alright with that over some website inferiority?

Just from your comment and reason, I don’t think I’m the one being naive here. I get you just joined this platform about a year ago, however a lot of us have been on here for 4,6, even 8 years and counting and have more respect for the website, the authors, and the groups taking on these projects.

I don’t know why you are coming here throwing blame regarding the decision. Everyone on this comment chain did not threaten the group at all! So, to come here and basically accuse us of ruining is just showing how immature you are. I’m actually requesting for the group to DM the server. If I had really threatened them, why would I do that?

Go after the people that actually send death threats to translation groups instead of people that you just don’t agree with.
