I think it's "justified"(I don't think that's the right word to use) because he genuinely felt regretful about what he did
time and time again we've had plots where the seme blatantly rapes the uke and is like "but you liked it " afterwards and the story moves on
here how ever he 1. stopped himself before he destroyed everything 2. immediately apologized 3. went back and apologized again and understood that he now has to rebuilt that trust between them
