She said that his parents had the same views so did the emperor. So they probably wouldn’t have said anything about what she was suffering. Rather the opposite would’ve probably encouraged it, make her know her place. But war time it can be hard to receive news and at times it can be months later before they hear anything about rumors or such. It could be that he tuned anything out that was about her.
You're telling me that the ex-husband this WHOLE EFFING TIME DID NOT KNOW HIS THE RUMORS OF HIS WIFE?!?!?! WHAT BS IS THAT. I mean sure he was at war, but I would have thought that since his parents knew that they would have told him or at least he would have overheard them talking about it.
