Because we're talking in a FICTIONAL context I doubted I needed to clarify that I'm talking fictional men. Well, here's your clarification.

I just find it hilarious how you accuse people of misogyny comments based on their opinion about fictional characters meanwhile you do the same just the other way around.

I don't care if people don't *care* about fictional women. I care only when women are perceived in a different light to men who have done equivalent things/act in equivalent ways.

Eg. I don't care about Anastasia Steele from 50 shades of grey. I don't care if she gets sexually assaulted or not. (And she does get sexually assaulted.) HOWEVER, I do care that people view her as dumb or weak when a male character with her role would be called "cute" and applauded for "breaking gender roles."

Meanwhile you don't really care that many readers can't comprehend that Minho was raped because obviously he could have overpowered her etc although nearly no one'd question such thing if their roles were reversed.

And in mangas where the woman does get raped no one actually gives a fuck?? In male orientated ero manga, male audiences don't care if the character made out to be bitchy/ annoying and overbearing gets raped by the ML. In female oriented ero manga too, actually. The audience still doesn't care when the FL is raped as long as the guy raping her is hot enough.

We are talking about recognition, not reader's feelings about the situation right now.

We are, and always have been talking about reader feelings. When male characters get raped people care. When female characters get raped, people don't.
