Liden's mother is innocent. The fault in this situation stays with the emperor and marques clide. Liden's mother can't just refuse the emperor ( because power dynamics) and the emperor is allowed to take multiple wives so she still didn't do anything wrong.
If the Marques truly wanted to help his sister, he either would've tried to reason with the emperor about the sanctity of his sister's position as the first wife or he would've gotten out of her marriage with the emperor. He did neither of those things because he most likely cared about his own proximity and power with emperor. Instead he framed and sacrifice the lives of and innocent woman and child.
1-about the emperor is allowed to take multiply wives: I don't have any objection, but how could he just abandon her after using her and making sure that there is nothing threat his power and just gave her title of a queen and forget her then he gave the title of the empress to another woman so simply and lived a happy life with her
2-do you think that if marques had gone to the emperor and told him why did he do that the emperor will simply take the title from his beloved woman give it to the second prince’s mother.
3-Do you think that if he asks the emperor to take his sister out of a palace, he will agree? If he had agreed, he would not have made her queen from the start, as he had married her because he needed power, if they separated he would lose that power.
Suppose he was forced to marry her and he would agree to let her go, do you think that her life outside the palace would be easy? No, others will laugh at her and insult her
And she will live a worse live
Am I the only one that think if i were instead of second prince’s uncle I would do the same if I saw my sis being abandoned by her husband after helping him and made another woman the empress and living happily while my sis is suffering?
I know that what the second prince’s mother has done was wrong but the previous emperor is The biggest culprit in all of this, if he loved a woman he could just make her a queen but not to abandon who helped him
Think about it if the second prince’s mother is instead of tia (from the abandoned empress) when the emperor brought another woman and put her as the empress(even though tia didn’t help him but everyone hated him for this)
So the ml mother is also guilty, how could her take another person place, I’m sure the emperor is the one who proposed to her and then she accept but i really can’t be thinking “oh she did nothing wrong” as i said before think about jeon (i don’t really remember her name) from abandon empress when i first read it i thought she did nothing wrong, it was just that the ml in love with her but i realllly hated her
