I'm sorry I don't have an account here so I can't click any of yhe buttons you mentioned.
For me,I read the manga only online because it is not available in our bookstore and it is very pricey here in the Philippines.
If I would have enough money,I would definitely buy the work of my favorite mangaka.
I know that reading the manga online for free is somehow insulting to the author but I am very very very sorry to all the sensei's. Someday when I can get a job,I will buy the whole volume.Esp. of crimson spell and Junjou romantica. And among others too.
Good luck with your work.
I read mostly yaoi on this site but my country don't sell yaoi manga so I never buy any. I buy a lot shoujo and shounen manga though. (Oh, I only buy manga that had been licensed in my country. I never buy the English version because tbh I don't really know how international shipping works heheh ^.^v)
I bought as many as I could afford. lol
honestly, I take manga web just as catalogs to find interesting titles I'm not satisfied without a 'real' book (paper books) where I could touch or reread it whenever I want even when I dont have any gadgets and I'm afraid to make my fave mangaka/writer goes bankrups. LOL
So do I! Most of them I've read so many times here I figured I should own a copy, and at least one I bought after reading only 5pp and thought I'd take a chance. That one was Livingstone and I am REALLY GLAD I bought it because it's totally to my taste. That's the thing-- you read a lot and after awhile you realize what your manga type is and even though it's still expensive, spending money is easier. (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
Now I read all my manga on this site and I buy when I can and I really love them. Honestly I don't have a lot of money, so right now I only buy Haikyuu, Billy Bat, Black Butler and Until death do us part (all in french). I have buy some Yaoi/shonen ai, but where I lived it's not the most easy to find and most of my fav are not sells, I don't have a credit card so I can't buy them on internet.
I haven't bought a single manga in my life for the reasons that places which actually sell manga are very far from my town and that if I did buy manga, in approximately 2-3 months it would be used to decorate the projects of my nieces. Absolutely all my magazines had the same fate. Not one had ever escaped. ╥﹏╥
I only read manga online because it is not available in our bookstore, actually there is but it is translated to our language (i dont like it in our language because it sounds weird) and so expensive but only 2 manga (fairy tail and attak on titan)
But i do buy djs available in mini yaoi convention i attend. Less expensive. But unfortunately i only buy 1dj because all other djs i saw is not in english.
Other than that, iam broke as fuck.. this hobby is too expensive.. T___T but when i became rich i will buy all my favorite manga i love (of course in english, unless i learn japanese) :)
NO judgment, NO debate on issues of fair use or morality, I'm JUST asking: How many of you buy the manga you read here when it becomes available in your country and/or in your language?
Click 'Thumb down' or 'Annoying' if you DON'T buy and 'Thumb up' if you DO buy or have bought in past based on what you read here.
Again, no judgment I'm just curious (and it would help me with my job, so I'd appreciate it). FWIW I own volumes of maybe 10% of what I've read based on my reading it here and would, if given the chance, buy more but I'm guessing I'm probably the exception to the rule. ( ̄∇ ̄")
