I'd still be suspicious, he has clearly brainwashed other people plus he was so bitchy to her as they grew up . And he doesn't really try to contradict that villain-role. We know he's not evil but he's acting kinda sketch 97% of the time, even when he's doing good stuff.
Yes but she knows brainwashed people are basically puppets to his will, and she's clearly not. He IS sus, and I get not trusting him outright, but some critical thinking skills would be nice.
Doesn't she remember his mother forcing him to have holy water? Or saving her life? Or that if she was hypnotized she wouldn't be capable of the free will and thoughts she has???? What, he hypnotized her to be suspicious of him?
