I'd still be suspicious, he has clearly brainwashed other people plus he was so bitchy to her as they grew up . And he doesn't really try to contradict that villain-role. We know he's not evil but he's acting kinda sketch 97% of the time, even when he's doing good stuff.

Yes but she knows brainwashed people are basically puppets to his will, and she's clearly not. He IS sus, and I get not trusting him outright, but some critical thinking skills would be nice.
