Dis- I agree with most of the things you said but I got this feeling that you also have this negative view on the matter
Like for example : although "you started this" sounds rude and it's like she's blaming him but you could also think that she didn't know what else to say in that situation and she wanted to show that she really wants to associate with him regardless of his kind.
But truthfully other things you mentioned actually make sense
Let's get this straight. I loved the manhwa. I loved the work, and I think it's unique and I would immediately click the new updated chapters everytime it pops on my Feed but as times go by the manhwa kinda irks me.. but yes, I still read it... but everytime I do, it irks me more. I know some people would say not to read it if it I feel this way but I already started the manhwa and I kinda like it but as it builds up, it's losing its charm.
Here are my concerns...
1. As you(some) all know, in the original work, it wasn't the pink stuff toy that was put as collateral. I get that the author might want to slightly change their work and I don't have anything against that and I won't question why he chose that as collateral but my concerns is... who the f goes out of their house and pack a handheld stuff toy in a bag that is not the right size/opened as if screaming "I have a stuff toy with me"? Fine, some of us put our stuff in a bag that is slightly undersized and some stuff sticks out of out bag (especially folders/files) but... if our MC is going to the guild, why did she bring the stuff toy with her in the first place, remember, she didn't know the value of the stuff toy. so why? she couldn't leave it at her house because her stepfamily might take it from her? or its important to her? if it's important to me, i would hide it and make sure not to bring attention to it (which she did). her bringing it with her raises suspicion, if i were her stepfamily and saw her go out of the house with her stufftoy, I (her sister being jealous of her) would rip it out of her hand and keep it to myself even though I don't know the worth of the stuff toy. Another thing is why bring the stuff toy with you (almost) everyday everywhere you go? The more she keeps it by her side, the more suspicious it becomes, didn't she know this? Why always stick the head of the stufftoy out? It catches people's attention!
2. The two has business relationship. It was stated that it was supposed to be confidential. As far as I remember, he was the one who said that confidentiality is one of the pride of the guild... something like that... but why did he broke the confidentiality of their relationship? Did he think its cool? Did you guys think its cool? Did your heart flutters? It made me want to punch the man and break the contract... yes, she needs the guild's help but if it were me, I wouldn't work with someone who breaks the protocol just for the sake of "greeting" me. What he did put me off, it's kinda a turn off. I hated what he did and his approach. He WASN'T supposed to know her because where else should he know her? Where else should he encounter her except the guild where transactions are kept CONFIDENTIAL? And she let that go? She was okay with it? She blushed from that gesture? That's clearly disrespect! He knows her predicament, yet he drew attention to her. He knew his impact to the society but then walks to her, making her the main attention of the ball? That's kinda the last straw for me for this ship.
Yes, I'm not her. And I'm definitely not the author so I don't have any right to tell the author what to do (this probably won't reach the author anyways) but as a reader, I have my input and I just want to vent it out. I also know that maybe the author did this for the sake of the flow of the story but I can't put my mind at ease, he broke her trust by intentionally walking towards her and asking her for a dance thinking that what he did is okay because he was only greeting someone he knows. I know I can't judge the work because it's only been a few chapters and it's still in progress and no one knows how it'll go from here on out but the manhwa is losing its magic.
3. The demon. I was okay with this ship except the last chapters. He said that she doesn't need to interfere but she still pushed it! She made this "gesture" where she claims that she'll still talk to him, demon or not. I get that she wants to associate with him and that it's for the story to progress but dude, you struck the person (demon) on one of his most vulnerable state. He was mourning! That's not good. And I also know that not everytime a person needs to f off when told to f off by others because some people needed companion especially those vulnerable but to point out and say "You started this!" it gives off the feeling that whatever happens in their relationship onwards, the demon will be at fault because just like she said, he started it.
4. Her. The more I read about the manhwa, the more I hate her gestures and actions. pabebe amp! Is she somehow a pushover (to selective people)? yes, she fights her stepfamily but she goes with the flow and lets whatever the male leads go. I am turned off by the silver/gray/white haired guy. So please tell me if she'll end up with him in the original work. Because if she ever ends up with her, the foundation of their relationship is not something to be proud of. He was lied to as a business partner and as a person. I really want to punch that man on his face and look for another guild to do business with.
