Okay take this with a grain of salt, I’m not entirely sure if this is true but this is how I interpreted it. (Also I may have posted this already lmao I thought it didn’t go thru the first time) *slight spoiler maybe?? maybe not tho*
I only saw a few panels of the raws for the next chapter, but Shuli’s knight (forgot his name) is the one who finds her body and recovers the green brooch Jeremy had given Shuli. He is kneeling in those last few panels perhaps just because he is presenting the brooch and Jeremy misunderstood and thought he was the ‘sinner’ the guards are talking about. So maybe the sinner hasn’t been shown yet?? But there’s also a chance the knight is probably falsely accused of her death if he was seen at the crime scene? Unless the guy who is kneeling in the last few panels is not the knight, tho I think it is?? As for Nora, in her past life he is ordered by the emperor to investigate her death, that’s all I think? Pretty sure it’s just to show that Shuli didn’t know Nora in her past life and wasn’t able to give him love/care + convince his parents not to be shitty towards him, so it’s also about how Nora turns out without her in his life.
