Black Lotus is worse than Killing Stalking--- I don't know what the author is thinking, and it's undeniable that he/she is a good writter. Anyway, I'll be talking about the story itself and not the author.
Sure Killing Stalking's MC had done terrible crimes (murder, abduction, sexual, and physical harassment) and not to mention numerous mental disturbances. But let's not also forget that the MC is suffering from mental disorder, but ofc it does not justify his crimes.
Meanwhile, "Black Lotus" (GAH! I can't even fathom both the MCs). The seme has a healthy mental condition, other than having his memories "temporarily" vanished---Here goes, MCs are married or so they are in paper. The seme physically and mentally abused the uke due to false accusation and unreasonable things. Broke the piano that his(uke) dead mother left him. The seme also publicly humiliate the uke and locked him up. And let me ephasize how he beats the uke countless times and treated him worse than shit that he ended up with broken bones, mentally traumatized, and suffer stomach illness (hemorrhage, that almost caused his death). What I really hate is that people around the uke never bothered reporting it to the seme's mother nor both of their parents want them to divorce, they all just turned a blind eye (the reason? Seme's family is elite of elites, that's why no one bothers). They took advantage of the uke's "kindness" (more like inferiority complex, lmao the uke is meeting with a mental therapist. Yet the doctor never made advice and take action to fix the uke's character).
Lastly, the reason why I compared it to killing stalking is because I think KS author made a right decision of not making the MCs live together, hence comes the death of Sangwoo. Like who would want to live with their perpetrators, right? I hate it the most that they end up together(black lotus mc). Will the uke still be able to live normally in the future with the guy who beats him to death(both mentally and physically)? Will the uke be able to just forget everything?
PS, for those who read the entire novel and did not skim it just like what I did. Please let me know your opinions as well. I just can't read the whole thing, it's mentally exhausting.
I agree with you although I have not read that much of the novel I can see that just divorcing and moving is not going to help the damage that has been done
"MY" opinion after skimming the "Black Lotus"
