Maybe they translated it that way because it sounds awkward in English for him to reply “me too” to Joowon? Like we already knew from Haesoo’s thoughts at least back to the breakup that he was in love with Joowon, his love is abundantly clear. The awkwardness of the phrasing is the only rationale I can think of, otherwise it’s sorta stealing author’s thunder for what I would suppose to be an outpouring of Haesoo’s endearment along with the mystery present.

Actually in kr version, Haesoo never said “I love you too” in this chapter. He said “me too”. We havent actually seen him say the words to Joowon in the story,, tho im sure he has off screen lol. Since at the end of chapter 94, we dont know who said the last speech bubble that read ‘I love you’ (was it Joowon repeating himself, or Haesoo saying “I love you” back? lol idk)
I’m pretty sure it’s cause the author is planning something, which is why we havent seen Haesoo say it yet.
