You should search "Peritian" She's an amazing furry artist who does these really awesome Yaoi/gay comics.
One of her best, ongoing series is called "Cat's Love Water" - Comic staring two siamese twin boys who adore meeting people and having fun. But things don't always come out as planned for them... You can find her work on Fur Affinity and Yaoi haven reborn.

You probably find this odd, but I've never seen furry art before. Is it always a human body paired with an animal head and sometimes animal appendages? Some of it looks quite sophisticated.

I mean, there are depictions of animal demons in Japanese yaoi who have mostly human characteristics, usually tricked out with ears and a tail or wings, and they can transform between the two, but they look quite different. I always thought they would be similar.
