Tbh I've been hella frustrated with Shuu for a good bit of this manga. Like, he hasn't really said shit and always says just enough for Atsushi to back off and leave him alone. They've already gone through one big misunderstandin' when Shuu basically had Atsushi confused as to whether or not he actually liked him (the earlier chapters) and now he's been caught keepin' his relation to his sister hidden and all this literally after rejectin' Atsushi without an explanation.
I get not pressurin' someone and waitin' for your partner to be ready but if I was technically seein' someone and they kept boltin' on me just as things were getting intimate AND without explanation I'd be really fuckin' depressed. I'd feel like I was either forcin' them or they didn't feel the same and just didn't feel like they could talk to me about it. It'd be a huge blow to my confidence and belief in our relationship and would really jack with my headspace.
Obviously, don't pressure people to prove their love through sex. That's just a dick move, bad senpai.
That being said, I'm actually quite sympathetic with senpai. He's in the middle of a gender identity crisis, which has been compounded by what he perceives as confusing signals from the uke. And now, he's got trust issues from the uke hiding the fact that he's the ex's bro. Bear in mind, uke's had months to come clean or explain to senpai, so senpai sussing him out/questioning his feelings isn't unthinkable. I'm hoping senpai will not go through with forcing sex as he's been pretty good at stopping when the uke truly feels bad (No should always mean no, and one should only proceed with enthusiastic consent, but sadly, most Japanese manga still opt to go for no means yes. Le sigh.)
