As why most ppl are heated abt this... Based on the comments that I see, the "translator" was translating badly and the work was also stolen. Also, based on the ppl commenting, they made a deal with the old uploader. Because the old uploader said that they will use the official ver, which is bought with real money.
It all comes down to quality. Paid with money=excellent quality. A lot of people care for the series, & true representation matters. That cannot be achieved by a scanlator who doesn't know korean, who stole the google translation from another site. Yes, we're on an illegal site, but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't care about translation quality, especially when someone so kindheartedly offered to share the purchased chapters. It's just not right for someone to all of a sudden snatch that away & upload a stolen, low quality translation, for the sake of speed.
okay genuine question, bc I usually buy my chapters and didnt know illegal sites like this existed until now lol. So if I were to overupload the uploader on this current series with official chapters that were also bought on t*p*s, why is that considered bad. Is claiming to be the sole uploader or translator group part of those rules (in my question).
Here's the gist of it. Most uploaders (not all, mind you), feeds on the appreciation & gratitude from the readers. It's natural, & understandable. It costs money to buy & it takes effort to rip & upload them here. So it only makes sense to do it if people read it & appreciate you. So, the bad thing about snatching away from someone who already made the deal, is basically you're taking that opportunity from them. So if you want to be the uploader instead, the right way to do it is by contacting the "person in charge" & asking them if you can take over. Now, a lot of people are pretty much clueless about this, but, everybody needs to understand that your gratitude is a very powerful thing. It's what motivates people to share be it scanlators or uploaders. So make sure that it is given where it's due, and not freely given to a snatcher that just stole a low quality translation. And really people, how come some of you can't even tell the difference between the official version, vs. good translation by respectable scanlators, vs. poorly done translation by someone who doesn't even know one thing about korean language? Like honestly, please pay attention to the credit section, it's not that hard to do.
Am new to this website but why cant the old uploader just replace the new uploader's chapters w/ the official versions as they get released but keep the other ones until they get replaced? Is it that wrong that ppl have to keep reporting the chapters to be taken down? Also can someone explain these rules that people keep talking about?
