Well anyone that uses the notebook does get plagued by bad luck eventually, so it isn't Ryuk's fault

Rather the two things I have in mind are that either it was his age to die or ryuk just killed him for fun when it was all about to end
In the first death note ryuk and the mc make a pact that ryuk will kill him one day, in this death note ryuk killed him because he sold death notes (it's against the rules)

That horrible bastard ryuk what does he mean by killing the users of the death note after they use it. It is just so horribly annoying to get such an ending. Why can't he just let them /I've?
