this would've been an amazing story if the mc was actually dark-skinned and if her skin didn't turn lighter at the end. author... idk what you're trying to say with this story but to the readers it seems like you're saying "being white skinned means you're blessed."

Same, they could've just used a different approach. Though they may have good intentions they executed it really poorly
