Could someone recommend a manga with a black female or male lead? I don’t see many with them being the lead, yes there are side character but I really wanna read a manga with a main black lead. So if you could recommend me one I would love to read it!

Babe......a lot of black people on tiktok have made whole videos on this. We think it’s weird when we’re called “people of color” or “African americans” it’s fuckin stupid. Idc if you weren’t trying to start anything, you did. Stop acting like the word black is offensive.

You realize you aren't talking for the whole of the coloured population right? Thats just your opinion. And no, I didn't start anything, you did when you butted in. I used the word 'black' too and i was advised that it was better not to. So stop trying to create drama when there wasn't.

Bro colored is more offensive than black. Also, I would like to know what race YOU are if you’re advising people on what is offensive or not offensive to black people

however I look at it, that should be spelled "colored." Sure as hell, that term didn't come from Europe. It came from the deep south, dude. Fun fact: in very recent times, "colored people" is as offensive as the n-word. Also, “people of color” or “African americans” - both of those have too many letters. I feel strongly about this.

Um excuse me? Immature much? Im sri lankan. And yes im 'black' if thats what you want to call it. Im dark skinned and I know so many people who are offended when they are described as black. And seriously, its common courtesy to call people who are dark skinned or asian 'people of colour'. I suggest you educate yourself more on this than just relying in tik tok.

To the person who asked this question. I meant it when I said I didnt want to start anything. I wasn't hurt or offended when you said 'black' but I responded only because its better to use people of colour rather than black. Sorry for the dumb drama that unfolded.

sure thing. "people of color" offends the shit out of me because it literally means everyone on earth except white people. damn. I can't believe that term is acceptable by anyone.

Colored is the American way of spelling it.
    Coloured is the British way.
People from sri lanka aka Ceylon, use British english. Another reason why you guys should educate yourselves before involving yourselves in this topic.

Umm I’m not sure whether I should comment here or not because of the drama from the replies above but anyways here’s one.

I don't care what you don't like. black is equivalent to white. In other words, it makes us equals. also, "people of color" comes from the seventies. it's recent and not exactly a time-honored, respectable convention. Do you understand the word offensive?

Dude and I should care what you like? You said you are offended when being called a person of colour and i am just as offended when being called black. So just keep your opinions to yourself will ya? In the real world (and not the world in your head) using people of colour is NOT offensive.

Did you not read what I said? The term comes from the american deep south so it's spelled colored. It's a term. You spell it by its origins. Maybe you should educate your own self. That or read what others say more carefully. You're rude.

That is how the Americans say it. It isnt a term but a way of calling. So i can spell it coloured. And you're being negligent about what I said initially. When I stated my response, I Clearly said that I wasn't trying to start anything yet you guys go ahead and pull up something where it wasn't due. So I shouldn't be the one to educate myself when you are clearly disregarding what I said. So im not being rude. Plus the @Rebekah's source of knowledge is tik tok. Like that's reliable? It is all coming down to each one's opinion yeah? So I suggest we let this go. To you guys being called Black is preferred and to me coloured is better.

people who don't want to start anything don't use fighting words like:"Immature much?" "I suggest you educate yourself more on this than just relying in tik tok."
"you butted in" and "stop trying to create drama when there wasn't."
