Someone did a sum up so I'll do one in more detail
After elf guy is defeated the teacher calls the disciplinary club weak and boasts his power
So the princess gives it a shot. She almost defeats him but he uses his full power instead of holding back. He did this to show off. Also he makes a flirty joke (in the book). Arthur decides to defeat him instead to hold the honor of the disciplinary club. (He notices the teacher was using full power to not make a fool of himself while fighting the princess)
He defeats the teacher
The princess thinks he saved her-
While in reality he was doing it for the displinarys reputation
Then rumors spread and he becomes the classes new teacher cause Arthur brutally injured the previous teacher to the point where he is proven unfit to teach
