The plot is just not moving forward, it's all just tension, tension, tension. It's not enjoyable. The MC has this weird need to please this guy who hates his guts, and I was excited because I thought at the beginning of the previous chapter that he had finally gotten some sense.
The MC doesn't even realize how much strength he has over the ML, if he outright says that the ML is abusive and a cheater, the ML's mom would literally do something about it. His father would do something.
We're not even told why he has such low self-esteem so the MC just feels like a typical, damsel in distress. I heard we don't even get proper development until it reaches triple digits (in the novel)
