I read a shoujo manga long ago and don't remember the title, but just some parts.
I remember that the guy after being hurt protecting the girl is gradually becoming deaf. In the end they get married, they have a restaurant, and the guy is a cook. After we see this, the guy hears a voice in his head and is able to hear again.
