An interesting back and forth conversation with commentor Shawty has me thinking about something. The villains pretty much count on civilains to quake in fear and not do anything when they attack. And LOV talks about a free society where ppl can do what they want but do they really mean everyone or just the villains?
What if the backlash that results from this upheaval isn't simply a crumbling of the heroes which now allows villains to run free like baby deers in the forest; but now civilians who are on edge are not going to be so docile anymore. They are going to start to fight back - laws be damned. Will this deter the villains who can no longer count on ppl being sheep or will this just cause more and more chaos as various factions go to blows and property is damaged? And what happens to those with weak quirks or no quirks who can't defend themselves? Since they are the low hanging fruit, won't they just be increasingly preyed upon by villains since they are easy targets to hurt.
Dannnng, you've really put a lot of thought into this. Your point is definitely something to worry about and it'll be very interesting to see how things are going to change for everyone.
