i understood differently. i thought she was bias because Will told the parents abt wanting to marry Nico, so his mother tried to seperate them, by being cold to Nico.
I actually never thought about it like that, you make a good point. Still either way though, i really did feel that she was seeing her husband in the younger one.
I thought the same thing. If it was truly just because Will said he wanted to marry Nico then why not treat Will the same way too.
And after her hug with Will saying not to abandon her I feel like it's because she lost the father who looked like Will and that's why she wants Will not Nico. And she was trying to say that to the 'father' rather than Will
They also made it obvious that Will looked like the father and even pointed it out. So I believe the mother truly sees Will as a replacement.
I feel the same.. even Will mentioned that his mother doesnt look at him like a mother but a woman ( i cannot remember the exact words) i think Will suffer too even though he have all his mother's attention. I think their mother is mentally unstable since their father died.

I wasn’t satisfied with the end because i felt like the younger brother deserved more from his brother. I don’t mean them getting together, i mean in a sibling love way not romantic. The younger brother adored his brother so so much, all he did wrong was look like his Dad. The mother is a witch, but at the same time she is grieving the husband’s death and because the younger brother looks like the Dad she is projecting her husband onto him. She starts to see how the younger brother adores his brother so she becomes jealous when the younger brothers’ attention is put on the older brother, and in turn treats the older brother like crap. So the older brother comes to resent the younger brother, although i don’t deny that he cares about his little brother too. The older brother may not have had the love from his mother, but he has always had his younger brother’s love. I just would have liked a bit more of a conversation with them two discussing their relationship and i would have been satisfied. Other than that i like how it ended with the boyfriend, and i also like the boyfriend and younger brother’s friendship at the end too. The younger brother deserves his own story now, i want to see his happy ending. :)
