huh, i never thought about it like this and i think your analysis is actually really spot on. i could never put my finger on why wolfgang seemed so off putting to me in these later chapters and i’m hoping that this issue does get addressed in the later chapters/i’d be surprised if it doesn’t. pretty sure wolfgang isn’t aware that his actions aren’t showing genuine care for shin either, and i’m guessing that he somewhat realized in that last panel of the most recent update that his actions are out of line. tbh shin isn’t exactly helping either in this situation, but i see where you’re coming from. i hope everything works out though and that both characters are able to grow into a healthier relationship.... i love them both too much
thanks for the reply! The story seems really well written, so I'd also be surprised if this wasn't delved into. According to Wolfgang's character, he wants the best for Shin, so I also doubt he's doing this on purpose. Hopefully, we'll see some development from both sides. I just want them to be happy
Huh? In my eyes Wg looks alot like a doll King who only did whatever shin asked : How he speaks how he acts, how he dresses. And the latest : U hAVe To MarRy A WoMAN we DOn't HavE TIme I dOn'T NeeD youR OpiNion Do What I SaId!
The only times when he used he King Card was :
S1 Ch 1 (Close your eyes *kiss*)
S2 Ch 21 (close your eyes and cry this is an order)
S3 Ch 8 (SHIN!!!)
Sooooo i don't understand howww in the word u said Shin hasn't gotten any freedom ? He has a loooooot of freedom in controlling the King since he was 4th Prince ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
I can see where you’re getting this from but I’m gonna have to respectfully disagree, Wolfgang ain’t shit like that son a bitch of a king, his doing everything he can and for his country. When you said “Wolfgang claimed shin” no if I remember correctly didn’t shin say when they WERE KIDS “ I’m your” did he not?. And one last thing shin does shit on his own according, Wolfgang only STANDS up to shin when it has to be DONE, shin only wants to keep Wolfgang alive and strong but sometimes he goes and does overboard shit like risking his life, and manipulating people , yes it’s for Wolfgang but if anything Wolfgang DOES NOT want that for shin Bc he knows that could end his life one day. One more thing when Wolfgang have a command to shin if was honestly for shins own good!, cause we all know shin stubborn as a mfk. They obviously love each other and they gone do w.e they can to protect each other No.Matter.What.The.Cost.is.
Again, I’m gonna have to disagree with you but I think I understand where you coming first
Heavily disagree. As someone's already mentioned, Wolfgang is more of a puppet king-- he's there because of his lineage, the literal magic power it carries, and because Shin CHOSE him. The one actually running the Kingdom is Shin, and it is a position and job that he has aspired for. The power in their relationship heavily favors Shin-- if he were to suddenly decide he didn't want anything to do with the royalty, I know 100% Wolfgang will do everything in his power to help Shin achieve that. Even this current situation were in regarding finding a queen for Wolfgang, this is not because Wolfgang wants it (we know he'd rather have Shin) but because Shin sees it as a necessity for the Kingdom. If anything, it is not Wolfgang that denies Shin freedom, but the Kingdom itself that denies them both their happiness. However, they are in that unique position wherein they can change how the internal system works, to make it better and ensure that history doesn't repeat itself. But for that to happen, they need to come together and work out how they can achieve that.
Also, saying that Wolfgang claimed him just like his father did before him feels like such a slap in the face when you consider all the adversity and hardship they both had to go through. If we're gonna be hung up on who claimed who, then Shin did it first-- he claimed Wolfgang's future and life for dreams of just king and kingdom.
When Shin was under the previous king's control, Wolfgang was all "I'm different" and "I'm going to treat you differently". But the moment, he replaced the previous king, Wolfgang claimed Shin as his and even though he took off Shin's cape, he gave Shin another cape, placing Shin under Wolfgang's control. Shin hasn't gotten any more freedom or relief from Wolfgang. It upsets me how similar Wolfgang is to the previous king, and he either notices and cannot help himself or is oblivious to his toxic nature.
For a healthy romantic relationship, all parties must be equals, but Wolfgang pulls this shit? He can't be overpowering Shin because he's the king.
I understand Wolfgang did not want Shin going to that shady kingdom, but he should've handled it differently if he wants to be closer to Shin.
Wolfgang's actions do not show how he could be a good partner to Shin.
Does anyone else see this? Am I over-exaggerating?
