I agree! There could've even been a language or connotation gap between what QC really meant and how it turned out here.
I'm not sure if I'm the one misunderstanding or the other readers. My interpretation of what qu cheng said is that he wants wowo to recognize ci nian as the one who gave birth to him. But since ci nian isn't willing to admit that yet, they have to keep it a secret from him.
He didn't say "call him mom behind his back" but "remember that he is mom" like he's the one who gave birth to you.
Idk if y'all r getting what I'm saying but here's my take on this anyway. And yes, there's nothing wrong with having 2 dads, too.
