Hey guys, a Conan fan here. I highly recommend watching Detective Conan, it is really an amazing anime if you're a fan of the detective genre, and it isn't necessarily too tiring to watch if you know what you're getting into.
If you don't watch the fillers the anime only has about 570 canon episodes (There are quite a few 1-hour and 2-hours specials which are canon, tho). The movies and OVAs are also fillers, they aren't a must watch (I heard that the fillers are usually not interesting anyway). Some of the movies may be good but I didn't watch so idk...
I watched all the canon in about two months (those were some very intense months...)
But! Since it is mainly not a plot-derived anime, and a lot of the cases are not important to the main plot or don't introduce major characters, they can be skipped if you want to catch up soon without missing out on much! You can find watching guides online and filler lists that can help you decide which cases are worth watching. For example, there's a list that I found online of "best Conan cases". If you'll give this anime a chance, I'd suggest to watch all main plot episodes (There aren't much, In which the Black Organization appears), cases in which Hattori is involved, Kaito Kid cases, Kudo Shinichi cases, cases that introduce new recurring or side characters and the "Metropolitan detective love story" series is also nice.
Probably everything you want to know can be found online since it is very popular. The series has a really great and informative wiki (but beware of spoilers).
I binged it but it is not an anime that is suited for binging since most cases are not related to each other in any way. Each case is usually two or three episodes.
Hope you'll give it a chance!
Why is the art so fucking good??
