What I understand is that their family is "neutral" so he cannot help anyone no matter how close they are to him. Sadly that's what it is.

My question is... I had the impression that his father locked his power because he hurt his little sister, but they actually healing powers? Or is it because he cannot be the judge of who lives and dies?
