Window to window was actually the first sequel then there is room to room, so if you're starting with window to window then you're safe to go , if you're starting with room to room you can go ahead too since there isn't anything that important about the couple in the first sequel window to window.
When i first read window to window i focused mainly on the main couple so when i read room to room it took me a long while to figure out that this was related to it and that the couple in it are the friends in window to window

I read it long time ago and barelly remember what happend. I know it has spin off "room to room" can i read it without remembering this one? Or will i miss out important things?
