Right! Like what kind of ending is that, I know it's good to have an open ended ending to leave room for imagination but that wasn't open ended, that was just like... Sloppy
Like the pace was goin good, you could tell they were starting to like eachother, he made some crazy promise for the future and bam done, as if that's suppose to be the author sayin they'll be together until he reaches that emperors cup thing.
And if that is the end I swear if they have some side stories and it dramatically leaps into the future suddenly to show their relationship that'll be pretty lame too
