Old bl tropes and why I don’t like reading old bls. A lot of newer bls don’t have that anymore which is a godsend. Legit tho, I hate it when they feminize the uke(unless it has to do with the plot), like wtf. Like, the skeletal structures between the two are so apparent it’s jarring XD like, a guy can look feminine without legit just looking like a shoujo mc.(legit the skeletal structure of old bls XD I can’t.)
(Personally, I feel like some authors like doing that cause it makes them feel like they’re in the shoes of the uke, which is so fcked up and ew. Anyway, if you look carefully, you can find ukes that actually look like guys.
But can I just talk about how every time I find an unexpected top and bottom dynamic, theres always just that one comment or review going, “I wish the top and bottom were switched” like broooo.
