I’m pretty sure that he was planning on leaving....
He realized that he's getting used to the stalker being with him. Like it's normal when it should not. So he decided to move away. Because if he do not move away, he'll end up being unable to leave the guy. Which is what happens in the end.
Ohh so he was planning to move to another apartment because he wants to leave him? Right? Not move in with him? This is kinda confusing..
