OMG yes me too. I literally was on chapter 25 when the male lead told her about his trauma. And then she took him to his home and the first thing she does is assault him. She had the audacity to think about touching him to get energy when he was literally depressed. All she thought about was how delicious he looked. She is so selfish and ignorant. She has no idea how to deal with someone who has myophobia and treats his illness and trauma like nothing. The only reason why she even wanted to cure him is so she can touch him. And instead of being an emotional support she’s just glad to found out his trauma so she can cure him and then use him. Honestly I don’t know why the author made a character like her, but I can’t read this anymore it makes me too uncomfortable. Maybe she gets better but i can’t read any more
The story is about the ML having character development AND the FL having character development. From the start it was already shown that she was a selfish type of person. That’s why the story took a gradual and realistic slow way to change both of them for the best. The whole point is that she does change too, it can make readers proud that she improved over time (and give a better feeling of being attached to the character)- rather than already being a good person from the start.
Tbh I already know the story is like that, but I simply can’t bring myself to read it. Plus the plot just doesn’t make sense. Curing someone from myophobia by ignoring their boundaries and forcing them to do stuff isn’t gonna work. And If being a shitty person is “realistic” then I’d rather not read about it
Well I mean..it’s a fictional story with characters that aren’t real and vampires that get energy from touches lol. Obviously the way they cure a person’s phobia isn’t gonna be something that works in real life. Just like how FL’s can’t just “change” bad boys into good boys. Lol don’t really know why you’re trying to apply logic to fiction.
The “realistic” part I was talking about was about how the FL’s personality GRADUALLY and SLOWLY changes over time, it’s not realistic for a character to just change their personality into a good one in just one day/chapter.
Am I the only one who is uncomfortable in the first 20 or so chapters?
Like, it's disgusting af to try and "cure" someone's phobia/mental illness for the sake of self gain. I'm just glad that the webtoon wasn't oblivious to how harmful and overall fucking rude that kind of shit usually is.
Don't play someone's saviour when you 1. don't know them personally and 2. were asked not to meddle.
Offer support instead of yeeting yourself straight into their private affairs.
Ah, and not only that but the chick keeps on pestering the guy after being told off a bunch of times.
If the genders were reversed this kind of behaviour would've turned red flags left and right. Just saying.
