K first off idk how not forgiving someone makes her rotten. Second off the sword is rusted not rotten lol. 3rd that dragon actually killed a bunch of people who were innocent and killed her parents. From the beginning the white dragon just wanted someone to love her. When she found out the knight she wanted to be friends with regretted and mourned for her then she forgave her however the king has never genuinely shown remorse for anything the only reason he’s sorry about killing her parents is because he knows she needs to forgive him to kill him. Plus he literally killed her parents and kidnapped her soooo
Dude, First of all, she is rotten therefore the sword she wields is showing her inner self.
Second of all, compare to her human parents the king's actions are better. Distinguishing the entire species just because, is so selfish. Dragons need food too you know, and humans were available. Don't tell me you don't eat meat.
Third of all, showing regret with actions are way better than just falsely crying in front of the grave after killing the white dragon with her own hands. Action speaks louder than words. King is trying to show his remorse as much as possible. So...
Wanting revenge because someone killed people you cared about doesnt make you rotten it makes you human. If someone killed your parents you’d want them to at least go to jail right? The sword user has to be pure of heart which is why only the knight could use it. She genuinely regretted her actions and wanted people to be safe. Saying the MC is rotten because the sword doesn’t work for her only cements the fact that the knight was a genuinely good person who regretted what she did. the king didn’t kill people to eat them he killed whole villages cause ONE human fucked him over. Similar to how the knight was ordered to kill all the dragons cause a few dragons were fucking with people. They were both in the wrong however The knights remorse was genuine she built a whole shrine and everything and again she was able to use the sword only pure hearted people could use. The king is only trying to get her forgiveness so she can end his suffering.
So what if he was only trying to end his own suffering. Everyone in this world is a little narcissistic. For example, this conversation. You read this novel because it interests YOU. Or let's say you enjoy reading a book but dislike video games. Then you wouldn't be engaged in a conversation with anyone if the topic was about video games.
Secondly, she could stop being the queen if she desires after his death. And even though he forced her to live with him, later that he didn't harm her at all. Not a single time. I think she is holding a grudge for no valid reason.
I hope u r doing fine. The reason he didn't harm her was because he NEEDS her for HIS OWN BENEFITS. You just can't justify his actions and make the mc forgive him just becuase he begged and said sorry. Compared to the knight, she learned to forgive her after seeing that SHE DEFINITELY REGRET what she did to the dragon and don3forget that they have a bond somewhat before she was betrayed COMAPRED To the emperor who just barged in to their life then killed the person SHE ACCEPTED AS HER FAMILY IN FROM OF HER. Who would get mad? Yes yes he is asking for forgiveness BUT IT WASN'T SINCERE AT ALL he was asking for it just becuase HE KNOWS that if SHE IS HAPPY or what so ever SHE WILL ABLE TO WIELD THE SWORD and finnally meet his end. Yes yes, the emperor was pitiful but you should not justify his actions just because of that.
Idk how your gonna tell me what I would be doing but okay. If I like a character I would defend them whether they were the FL or not. Usually the characters that I like that get the most scrutiny are main characters. If y’all started trying to bash Blondie or that group of mercenaries I would defend them because I like then
That's not it. It's not because she's the mc or whatsoever even I find her a lil bit annoying tbh but you just can't expect her to forgive someone so easily wothout even seeing that someone to really regret the things he did and do something about it. Well yeah it's already been years but ya know all she knows is "he's being nice and shit because she wanted me to become her queen" that's it. Then after some time just becuase he discovered that she can not wield the sword he just went begging becuase he's suffering. He's gonna make her happy and shit because he needs her to forgive him not becuaee he really mean it. He's pitiful indeed and so the white dragon. That'll be all. Keep safe ya all!
Okay first I don’t think she killed anyone when she was a dragon. The flashbacks showed her as calm and gentle and she didn’t even know who the knight was. If the dragon was a killer she would have known the night was serious about killing her and wouldn’t have tried to be friends. Also she never had friends as a dragon. Her parents were in her eyes the only people to cry and love her which is why she forgave them. The emperor killed the only people she had ever loved and had loved her in return right in front of her so I can understand why she would want revenge against him but was able to forgive the knight. The only reason the dragon wants to die is because HE is suffering. The only reason he was “nice” to her was to raise her into someone pure and just to end HIS suffering. Unlike the knight Mir has never seen the emperor show true remorse for killing anyone because when he was begging her for forgiveness he only wanted her to forgive him to end his suffering
