Honestly! I started skimming chapters about 6 chapters ago. I'm on the edge of dropping this comic because of this drawn-out arc.

This refrain that the majority of readers use on any given story that is actually developing the plot rather than giving readers the messy writing and rushed fairytale ending they always prefer, is definitely more common than seeing stories like this one, so if I used the logic in your comment..... And given that you don't like the way the story itself is written that's more than just not liking one or two things IN the story. So the question I get asked (just because *I* don't like one or two things the author introduced) by people who say the same things as you could actually be true when asked of you instead it appears.

But, no the arc is not annoying. If it moved any faster it would make no fracking sense and be actually annoying. It's the exact same reason I stopped reading Skip Beat. Because the author had Kyoko accept Ren's confession at the time he made it, way too easily. There is no reason she should have accepted it that easily in the first place. But I guess the author saw their Japanese readers complain much the same way about how they only wanted to see romance (as if that's all there is to a freaking story) and the author saw their readership drop so decided to speed things up. But now the ones who demanded that they be put together originally are probably understanding the consequences of two people getting together before they're ready. So they're not satisfied either. But of course they don't think they have any responsibility for the shift in tone of the story.

I don't like rushed story's either but I think everyone understood by now that the dudes over there are trash and they should finally charge them for their wrong doings because by now it feels like they unnecessary drag this arc long eventhough everything is already established enough. And I don't know where in my comment you read that I want more romance or what so ever. I think you just didn't get what I had implied with this.

Also I don't understand how you can say I don't like how the story is written? You cannot get such information out of my comment. I hate people who make assumptions based on "evidence" that isn't even there.

I'm hesitant to respond because clearly you're very passionate (to have written all of that). And, honestly, I don't care to get in a long online argument. But I have to say that this comment was unnecessary. The second paragraph specifically has nothing to do with the conversation.

I think at the heart of complaints made by myself, Ewalia, and others is the fact that this arc became redundant several chapters ago. Yes, slowly developing a story is fine. But the thing is, no dynamic information or angles to the story were given. The plot's stakes were not raised and the character's motivations were not changed. It was just a redundant pressing of the concepts that the noble is bad and our MC is plotting against him, the noble is bad and our MC is plotting against him, and the noble is bad and our MC is plotting against him. That's not a slowly developed story. That's just a stagnant story.
